Favorite Ritual: Early Rides & Quiet Roads
— A morning ritual on two wheels
There’s a kind of joy that comes not from stillness, but from motion — smooth, steady, and just your own.
A few years ago, I fell completely in love with fat tire e-bikes. It happened on a trip to Ruka, where I tried one for the first time and instantly knew: this wasn’t just fun — it felt like freedom. A few months later, I had one of my own. And now, riding it has become one of my favorite rituals.
I don’t use it to race through errands or commute to deadlines.
I ride early — often before the rest of the world wakes. There’s a silence in the air, a softness to the light. The roads are mostly empty, and the city feels like mine for a moment.
The tires hum quietly beneath me. I breathe deeper. Ideas flow.
It’s not just exercise — it’s expression. A way of beginning the day that brings both movement and mindfulness.
It’s not about going far.
It’s about feeling free.
Whether I ride for thirty minutes or an hour, I always return a little more awake. More alive. More myself.

This morning, I rode to Pirita beach.
The sun had just risen, brushing the sea with golden light. The breeze was fresh but not cold — the kind of air that wakes your skin and clears your thoughts.
I paused at the shoreline and let the silence sink in.
There’s something about the scent of the sea, the rhythm of distant waves, the simplicity of presence. These rides aren’t about doing.
They’re about being.
Rituals don’t have to be quiet.
They just have to be true.
Let yours move you — in more ways than one.

Design your days as much as your spaces.
Design your days as much as your spaces.
